NC .gov steals choice on Wind Farms from Western NC...

I guess us poor, backwards mountain folk cain't be trusted not to un-purdy-fy our mountains.

SB 1068 is a BLATANT double-standard. In COASTAL counties, the County Commissioners can give the green light to wind farms. But in MOUNTAIN counties, permission has to come from the State itself!

Enviro-tards like Senator Joe Sam Queen are afraid that utilizing wind power in the mountains will "destroy" them.

By the way, NC has mandated that ALL power companies produce 12.5% of their power from renewable sources by 2021, or get the financial smacketh layed down on them - which of course will get passed right on to the consumer.

Why do I have a feeling that this is the first of MANY bureaucratic BS roadblocks on the road to clean renewable energy in this state, and that the .gov has a DIFFERENT kind of "green" in mind for the "green" movement - namely bleeding more money out of power companies and users?

EVERYONE needs to call their Rep, Senator, and Purdue and raise hell about this - ideally even you coastal folk that they trust enough to manage their own wind-farm affairs...
Keep doing 2A activism - each one of us is carrying at least 20 lazy gun owners that can't be bothered to!
