Remove the c-clip, note how spring is installed, pull pin out, remove old cover, install new cover with spring, replace pin, replace c-clip.

What is the best way to remove that small C-clamp without losing it?

Small hemostats?

Black Rifle Forum

Just been warned that those little C-clips disappear easy!!!

Just don't want to have to remove four FF tubes and barrel nuts to swap out those ejection port covers.
