p226 blackwater tactical
I was recently introduced with this pistol, which was the typical sig but with a better finish and a mag capacity of 20.
My research led to http://www.sigsauer.com/Products/Sho...&productid=192
I havent had the opportunity to test fire it but the thought that it had 20 rounds had surely caught my attention. Anyone know of any reviews of this new kid on the block (ie accuracy, ease of handling)

Nice looking gun! The 20 rounds, wow. No need to carry a spare mag anymore!

One has more than sufficient firepower at one's immediate disposal with its 20 round mag however to be honest, I would still carry (for self defense purposes) at least one more mag for any tactical reload.
In IPSC, its capacity beats the SPO1 by one round (i.e. SPO1 19 rd +1 vs Sig 20+1)
Unfortunately, Im one of those that are a bit skeptical for its use in IPSC as my hand doesnt seem to like how a Sig sits in my palm, unlike a 1911/2011

FWIW, there's no more Blackwater per se; they've been renamed "Xe".
20 rounds? This doesn't preclude the carrying of at least one extra mag. Since it's a 9mm, one needs to shoot every assailant at least twice to put them down so in effect-- it's just as good as a 10-shot .45ACP pistol (just kidding, sorry can't help it).

Really - you had to shoot double taps on the BG's? I thought you had to keep on shooting them (as if they were zombies) until they actually fell to the ground so that meant more firepower requirement... (At least the Israeli military training do)
The double tap I would like to think is the minimum and I suppose as long as the perceived threat is there, I would keep on shooting so the extra rounds are worth it.

Yep, that's why I said shoot the assailants at least twice. I'm just kidding the 9mm folks out there. (where are the darn emoticons?!)
Seriously, a SIG 226 even in its conventional form with a 20-round capacity will turn necks and pay a premium price for these pistols. I'm not into IPSC but I can see how a 20-round capacity will attract most shooters.

Looks like this is going to be a popular sidearm in respect to self defense/ military or police use (no longer for IPSC). Hmmm, what about IDPA?
