Despite the projected track shown above (bad enough for Northern Luzon)
This typhoon could veer southwards, due to a high pressure ridge to the east
of China; and if also slows down, it'll be dumping a lot of rain on us, so make
sure you're all prepared.

Expected landfall tonight (Fri Oct 30). It is not consistently strengthening. However, its slow track
(just 14kts) means it won't just pass quickly through. It'll have plenty of time to dump moisture on
Luzon... and let's not kid ourselves, it's bringing a LOT of the wet.

Ingat kayong lahat, and be prepared.
Hopefully, it'll have effectively left us by late Sunday afternoon, Nov.1... but if there's been flooding,
then observing All Souls' Day as it should be, on Nov.2 rather than on All Saints', (or maybe later)
will probably prevent extra demand on .gov's emergency and relief services.

We seem to be dodging a bullet.

Apparently, Santi/Mirinae dumped a lot of its moisture to the east of Bicol,
out in the Ocean, just as the typhoon's eye hit the Luzon coastline.
