Purdue's went up like 5%, the state froze funding for university projects until Purdue "re-evaluated" the tuition raise, they did the same thing at IU and they dropped they're raise but purdue so far has only agreed to refund half of a "New Student Fee" that they started charging freshman with this year. My tuition is $4,069.00 for 15 credit hours this semester.

Hello,
My major is American studies, with two minors in Conflict Studies and Translation.
My Alma Mater is Radboud University Nijmegen, like most other public universities in the Netherlands the annual tuition for the Master's is a good 1600 euros, about the same for the Bachelor's.
I spent about 300 euros for one semester's worth of books. Everyone here is eligible for government financial aid, but it's not much. There is a pretty good rate for student loans from the government though.
The government has been cutting back on education unfortunately, and today announced further cutbacks. I'll probably join the protests scheduled for next week. Normally I'm not the activist type, but education is a very important issue to me.
