STI grip-receiver screw

Does the screw connecting the polymer grip and steel receiver of sti pistols get loose after extended firing and heavy use?

How do shooters keep it tight?

Jun I've used my gun for over 4 yrs and maybe around 30K-40K rounds and to be honest I've never checked that part of the firearm. I think as long as it was tightened correctly during assembly, it shouldn't be a problem. Hope this helps

i think it should better be blue loctite. the red one holds harder and you might have difficulty when you need to break the gun down... the blue loctite also goes by thread 'n lock and prevents screws and bolts from coming apart even with vibrations.

i never used loctite on it.

I remove everything every 4 to 6 months for general cleaning and found that the grip scews never loosen.
