Nyclads being produced again?

Saw this elsewhere, so I figured I would pass it along. Looks like Federal is making the Nyclads again.

That is great, I have some left from when I used to have my older 442. I just bought another 442 and dug out my ammo for it. I have 125 grn/125 grn +P and 158 grn +P which is some serious ammo btw..

I understand these are a good low-recoil round for people who cannot handle +P loads like Gold Dots out of a snubby...

This is great news. The Nyclad is made up a very soft lead bullet which is covered with a nylon jacket. The round expands quickly and reliably at standard pressures with very low recoil out of a j frame. The rounds are able to be carried in a pocket with a speed loader or speed strips and the soft lead will not deform in the pocket because of the nylon jacket. This is regarded by many professionals as THE best standard pressure round for a sunbby bar none.

When i had a non +P 649, this is the load I carried.

When I get a new 642 eventually i'll load Gold Dots, but the Nyclad has a long history of good performance on bad people.

Back when I first started working as a LEO in '91 i carried the Nyclads in my S&W mdl 15.
I will have to look for some for my Taurus M85.

I'll probably stick with Gold Dot 135 +P SB's in my SP101 as I've really come to like that load since Nyclads went away. But it'll be nice to pick up a few factory fresh boxes of Nyclads for the Airweight for the first time in a LONG time! :-)

Thought I would drudge this one back up. Anyone have any luck getting their hands on some of the standard pressure loads? I have an abundance of the 158 grain +P's, but would be interested in stockpiling some of the standard pressure loads for my wife to use.

I've found some of the non +p loads at gunshows recently. These were old production though not new.

Keep checking at http://www.ammunitiontogo.com/ and be patient. I bought 3-4 of the 20-round boxes 125 gr Nyclads from them a couple of months ago to have some standard load .38 Specials on hand. ATG's inventory changes often...I'm sure they'll get them back in stock at some point.
