Wife's new piece
New piece-
The Taurus 94 Ultralight in .22LR. 9 shots of 22 LR-- and the wife's new carry piece.
I must admit- Suprisingly accurate and fun to shoot. What a find. She loves it, and I had a blast with it at the range as well.
I tell ya- 9 CCI stingers in that little sucker is nothing to mess with.
This is my first rimfire revolver that is not a Heritage .22 or Ruger Single six. All my other rimfire revolvers are SA plinkers. Thoughts?

Congrats! I think it's great when females decide to take their safety into their own hands.
Once she is comfortable with shooting a .22, you can move her to a larger caliber over time. That's, of course, if she lets you....

Yep, for sure. She actually started out with a Taurus 85 in .38 spl, but she is a tiny little thing and the .38 spl weight and recoil was too much for her. I coached her and tried to help her through it, but to no avail. She is VERY comfortable with this new little gun and puts all 9 on a pie plate at 7 yards-- shooting rapid, double action. I can't argue with those results.

Buds has them for $350 when they have them. I had the "get it under the tree" factor to deal with, so I could not be too picky. I got it for $392.00 OTD. The most I have ever paid for a .22 revolver, I can tell ya.
But, it is worth it to see how well she shoots it, and how comfortable she is with this little pistol. The 18 oz weight is great for CC as well.

GSSF17,if she is comfortable shooting it and can make the hits I believe it is a better choice than a larger caliber gun that she can't control. The lower cost of .22 rimfire ammo equals more range time too.A cylinder full of Stingers beats a hat pin or knitting needle.tom.

I agree, if it works and she likes it, it's a good choice.
Plus, they are fun to shoot regardless.

Yep! Thanks guys. This really does bring the point to light that you HAVE TO be comfortable with your carry gun. My wife was not comfortable with her .38 spl, no matter what.
Now, she is confident and accurrate. Furthermore, she likes to shoot it and looks forward to range time with it.
