Got my second 1911 today!!!
You guys were right, this is addictive
Today i received my SS TRP. now i have a SS TRP and SS Mil Spec. both are great guns but now i have a better idea of what i like.
the TRP is noticably tighter fit. the MS is a great gun and is plenty accurate enough for its defensive role but i cant wait to shoot the TRP. i prefer the grip and thumb safeties of the TRP as well as the trigger, who would have guessed that? i also like the matte blasted finish and the grey grips that came on it, not sure what they are but its the factory grips.
for the MS, i do prefer the no FCS and recoil plug. the recoil plug will be swapped out in the TRP as i really dont care for the FLGR, havent even shot it yet but just personal preference. i also guess ive been working too hard lately because the 20LPI checkering feels great. not super sharp as some have mentioned. between that and the grips, i dont see having a problem holding onto this at all.
here they are. i am definately no photographer so excuse the crappy pics
And the meager collection so far.

the milspec has been great. i got it back in august. put a couple thousand rounds through it and its been almost flawless. had a problem in the first 75 rounds with it feeding Golden Sabers but not a hiccup since then. i shoot 200gr LSWC through it mostly. carry it with Golden Sabers daily, although i did get a couple boxes of Rangers today so those may go in it now as well.

While small by some standards, you have a very nice collection of guns and certainly nothing to be bashful about. I would love to have an M1A! Nice choice on the 1911's as well. One very nice production gun with many nice extra features, and one very nice plain jane 1911 as well.

Nice looking TRP. Congrats.
I found a used one in a local shop and it's going for $1,100. Is this a normal price for a used TRP (tactical)?
Thanks
