Georgia House Bill 615

A hearing is scheduled for January 7, 2010 if anyone is interested in attending. It's at the Capitol building in Atlanta, room 132CAP from 9:30 - 12:30.

This bill would eliminate the "Public Gathering" law and a few other things as well. You can read more about the bill here.

Any news on this? Was anyone at the hearing? And more importantly, does HB 615 stand a chance of passing?

I emailed Chip Rogers, my local Senator, to see where this stands. I'll post back when I hear back from him.

I attended the meeting along with 150-200 GeorgiaCarry.org members. The room was to small to get everyone in there so we stood in the hallway. If you are not a member of GCO...What are you waiting for?

Plenty more awaits you here http://www.georgiacarry.org/ - just look on the right hand side under categories.

Considering the short time GCO has been around, (coming up on 3 years February 2010) we've accomplished more in Georgia than the previous 30 years. And 2010 will be the most successful year we've had yet! Say goodbye to the Public Gathering Law
