New EDC-Rock Island Armory CS-Tactical

Yup,I went and got me another 1911 in a 3 1/2 inch barrel model,I was quite surprised how reasonable the Rock Islands are and it shoots good also.Ran 50 rounds of 230 FMJ thru it without a hitch.I know its no glamour queen but they seem pretty well made.Any opinions(dare I ask)from the pros.

I like mine. I fixed it up a bit. I would also like to get another one. Good shooters for a good price.

RIA Compact Tactical is my EDC. I also have 2 of their standard 1911s. Great guns for the price. All three are very reliable with any of the ammo I have fed them. Bought my Compact from Bellshire Hardware about a year ago. At 15 yards easily groups COM. My carry load is Speer 230gr GDHPs. Practice ammo has been WWB 230gr FMJ and 185gr LSWC reloads with 4.5 gr of 700x switching to 220 gr Lead Truncated Cone with 5.0gr of 700x

Well I thought I would give an updated report on my new piece,I was sadly mistaken when I thought accuracy would be OK on these pistols of rather questionable cost.

1911 Forums

Accuracy is OK I guess.

Congrats! Those are great grips for that gun. I have one with those grips and it works well for me.
