My first 1911 and dream gun
I love my new kimber ultra carry II, it came with factory CT sights. I have been obsessing over this piece for so long. Anyhow I'm new to the whole 1911 community but am very excited. I have to interview a few guys in the morning then it's off to the range. The pic isn't mine but mine is identical.

Congrats, and welcome to GT.
I've never had a 1911 that was shorter than a Commander, though I have looked at them. I looked at that exact model not long ago, and was impressed.
I doubt I would have bought one though, as my dream gun is pretty much a full sized Government model without all the do-dads on it.

Have a great time shooting it. Let us know how you like the CT grips. My friend had a set on a Kimber that was the same size. His kept getting too dirty after about 30 rounds...I don't know if it was a fluke or a quirk with a smaller barreled gun with CTs.
