Glock stamped as "Made in Japan"?
There is a G26 loaded with options listed on gun broker #120367250, but the frame is stamped "Made in Japan". I've only seen Glocks that are stamped "Made in Austria". Are some Glocks made in Japan? Here is the photo, but I could not make out the words after "Tokyo". It looks pretty old.

I'm not very experienced; how can you tell it is an Airsoft? The listing doesn't mention anything about that. The entire listing implies that it is a pistol, including requirements for FFL. Text says, "This is famous off duty carry compact 9mm pistol. A favorie of the law enforcement community". My wife is Japanese and I recognize some of the grammar in the text as coming from a Japanese person.
Thanks for your insight. Maybe this listing is a trick.

It's an Airsoft, however it does appear that the seller is trying to pawn it off as the real deal.........buyer beware!

Thanks Dalton. You've convinced me. I think the listing is definitely deceiving and dishonest. Somebody is going to get scammed. I think I should stay away from broker until I know my stuff. GlockTalk is an awesome resource of knowledge.

Hey guys!!.. before judging, why just don't go straight to the root of the matter and ask the seller what's going on?.. he should be able to give a correct honest answer..Right?

It seems to be just a generic picture.
The gun in the picture doesn't have most of the options he listed in the description, but he has generic pictures of all the options listed.
That and the FFL requirements make me think its a real gun, just a generic picture he found on the web.

Made in Japan by Tokyo Marui. Seems like more scumbags are showing up on GB of late.

G26 made in Japan
The seller of the G26 "Made in Japan" added on 1/11 the following to the description:
"The picture of the bitone Pistol below shows actual color of the pistol. However the auction is for a real glock 26. Thanks"
Kind of a stupid way to advertise. Why not show the real thing?

because he is lazy and instead of taking the time to take one picture it seems more effective to him to google pictures of these different items and host 5 different pictures =]

A few days before I opened this thread, I did send the seller a question about the "Made in Japan" issue, but he has never answered. Some of the site feedback on him tagged him as "a scam artist".

Well, I guess that after a ton of e-mails the seller decided to take and post a picture of the original G26 for sale with the excuse that "he's not very good at taking pictures due to the old digital camera"...what a joke!! Still difficult to read the name of the original manufacturer in the new pictures.
With lots of G26 for sale on GunBroker.com people still bidding on this item, wonder why?

Fake GLocks sell quite well in Japan, you cannot easily tell it from a real one...
But if it says "made in Japan", rest assured, it is not a real pistol.

No foul there as it's advertised as an Airsoft toy rather than the real deal.

Probably because it's against eBay policy to advertise or sell the real thing..

Well if anyone bids on that they are a fool. Not for the Made in Japan thing, but because he lists the "upgrades as being worth hundreds of dollars. Extended slide release $99. I paid $10 for mine brand spanking new. The $75 FFL/shipping fee is outrageous. He's trying to nickle and dime at every step.

Well, it looks like there is always a "fool" born every minute because the gun sold for $430.00 after 11 bids......amazing!!

The sellers claims that the first picture he posted was that of an airsoft pistol made in Japan because he didn't have a picture of the real gun ..sounds like a dumb excuse to me, but anyhow, later he added to his post other pictures of the real G26 made in Austria with serial# OTC205.
Well, it looks like the gun was real because it sold for $430.00. Also, the buyer left a good positive feedback for the seller meaning that the transaction was completed in a good way.
