I am looking for AR15 donations, please give
It's for a good cause... and I am not actually looking for money (But I won't turn anyone down if they insist ). I am trying to start compiling pictures of barrel markings and lower receivers (and their roll marks) for my AR15 blog.
Something like these:

DPMS Stripped Lower

Common Colt barrel markings, this is a Colt 1/7 twist chrome lined govt profile 20" barrel
You are essentially granting me permission to post your picture on my blog. If you have anything to donate, it would be appreciated. It's just an informational post I will be doing about common rollmarks and barrel markings.
You can post them here or email them to me (rockymountaintactical@gmail.com).
Very interested in anything that could be considered uncommon.
I already have DPMS, Stag, LAR (with the honeycomb, not the bear), CAV ARMS MKII, and the newer RRA logo lowers.
Also, any barrels with or without markings would be helpful. Be sure to give me as much information/description on the picture as possible.
Thanks for anyone who cares to help out.

You might want to piggyback here...
I don't know if you have seen this.....
http://www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=3&f=12&t=223495
you might be able to piggyback/contribute - this guy has a good start on lower receiver markings.

I have always wondered why folks felt this was necessary? I can not think of anything negative that could realistically come of posting a serial number on the internet for a firearm. Assuming it is legally purchased (i.e. not stolen) what issues could it cause? Not trying to slam anybody who does block them out in pictures I understand the privacy desires but can any trouble come out of a internet picture of a firearm showing the serial number.
Come to think of it my pictures are of such a low quality that you can not even make out the serial number

What is the reason people are worried about this. I block mine because people have said its a good idea. But other than being worried about big brother writting down a list of serial numbers what is the problem?

If you live in a free state that doesn't register firearms... what secret, diabolical database can be used to trace your weapon?
Also, who can run your firearms records anyway other than LE? I don't think the average person browsing these sites can run serial numbers for firearms off our systems.
When we run guns, we need to enter operator IDs so every query is linked back to a case # or a reason why it was run. We don't run firearms for fun on a CLETS/NCIC.

If you guys want to argue blocking SNs or not, please do RMT a favor and start another thread. He's asking for pics, not argument. Thanks.

As TimP said, it broke.
Kidding aside, it's the product of a kaboom, most probably bullet set back (M193), upper is a model 1 sales 11.5".

That upper is older than me, wait till I get a picture of the odd ones like the Harrington & Richardson, Chartered Industries of Singapore and General Motors lowers.
