Is this a "Evil Black Rifle"?

Either way, I dig it! Anyone like Mini-14's?

Personally, I'd save up and get an M1A if I wanted that style of action.

Either way that looks pretty "evil to me.

That looks like my SR556's "redheaded step child" half brother by its cousin's brother's sister. They sure are cool little rifles. It looks nice.

It has "Black" and "Rifle" going for it. Not sure about the "evil" part...

Looks like our patrol rifle. Black composite stock Mini-14, but ours is the stainless LE and simple 2 point WW2 style sling. No fancy 3 point with mag pouch like yours.

I think it's evil enough with the black color and detachable mag. Take it out and OC it and see how many liberals you can make cry and wet their pants. If you get over 80% then it's an EBR for sure.

Unless it was an evil ranch, then the rifles on it are evil by definition. Now if you have a ranch of justice where the Super Friends lived, then the rifles on that ranch would be good. However, there can be only 1 ranch of justice and it's hidden so we'll probably never see those good rifles.

Huh,.....the gas system on a Mini is MORE reliable than a AR15!

The Mini's problem is the barrel diameter and throwing shots when
the barrel heated up. Shortening it to 16.1" and getting it Cryo
treated fixes that.

Eh...

Without a pistol grip, I'd say it only rises to the level of an "irritable black rifle".

Ruger® Mini-14® Tactical Rifle Autoloading Rifle Model 5847 This rifle is a better model than the past ones with improved accuracy. From what I have been reading on this particular rifle, most say its an improvement. Yes, I also have one and have to agree from what I have experienced. Some who have "hatred"/"dislikes" for the past rifles will of course apply it to this one.

This was taken from one site test "...the barrel contour is indeed beefier than the original Mini-14. The 16.12-inch barrel features a 1-in-9-inch right-hand twist, which stabilizes most .223 loads quite well."

" My past grievance was that the Minis weren’t nearly as accurate as competitive designs. That apparently has been resolved."

"It looks like this re-born Mini-14 is ready to get up and run with the big dogs. This upgraded package should make the Mini-14 a viable contender for law enforcement applications in the years to come."

A few years back I was hooked on the Mini.
I had a Target model I sent out to have the barrel cut down to 16.5".
I placed it in a SCAR stock from Clyde Armory. That Mini would shoot
1" groupings @ 100m all day long!

Looks "bad ass" enough to me.

I have a Series 181 (with the fashionable wooden handguard) that has been a very good rifle. Plenty accurate if not running it really REALLY hard. I've shot a few three gun plate matches with it. It has the stock open sights. My oh my, with my old eyes those damn plates are TINY at 200 yards!

As others have mentioned, I've been bitten hard by the AR bug, but I know my son will inherit the Mini-14 when I cash in.

You done good!

Never owned a Mini-14 but had my Mini-30 for more than 20 years. Came with the nice wood stock that I promptly lost as soon as I put the Butler Creek folding stock on it. Never had any problems with it. Accuracy is whatever for a short 7.62x39mm carbine.
