Ok, this may be a stupid question, as the out come really isn't important, but it was something I noticed and was just curious if there is a reason.

A friend of mine and I both have lasermax lasers on our glocks. His came with red marking on the slide release "switch" and mine came with yellow. All the others I have seen have yellow. Is there a reason they are different colors? Thanks

The special red-marked lasers are actually cutting lasers. They will vaporize 1/4" steel plate at 10 yards in 1 second.

I was curious, so I just looked at mine. It's red... or a sort of faded red.

When we changed the finish we were putting on the slide locks we changed the color we were using for the ends thats all

I sent an email to lasermax and they said that the red (older model) where a fraction larger and caused them to hang up with the holster. The yellow ones are the newer model and have been changed SLIGHTLY (slightly smaller). So basically.....not a real difference. But my curiosity has been settled!

I also noticed that the newer replacement switches have a dab of "goo" in the off-position detent of the take-down lever.
