For a carry gun...NO!

I like to keep the flashlight separate from the pistol. You can use the flashlight separately if needed, they are a lot less expensive that way and don't impact concealment or holsters.

The light is a cool add on.But after a week or so of carry with the light on the gun it gets old for ccw purposes.Just my 2 cents.

That has been my take all along. I do carry an E1e at all times.

That's what I was afraid of.
Plus, when lighting up the dark room with the TLR-1, the night sights are useless for a few minutes for my eyes.

Lights and night sights do two different things. One doesn't directly affect the need for another. Weapon mounted lights are kind of funny for ccw, but can be a sound idea for a dedicated home defense gun, if you familiarize yourself with their use.

The night sights are a passive, non electronic tool that will allow you to target a silhouetted intruder, in near total darkness. They also function as ordinary sights in brighter, ambient light.

The weapon light is an active, possibly aggressive tool that will allow you to ID, momentarily blind/confuse, and possibly pin-down an intruder. Consider skipping the light beam off the ceiling, to flash-light and clear an entire room.

For open carry or bedside duty, I'd say light, laser and night sights!
