Smith owners how many speed loaders do you carry
Revolver owners how many speed loaders do you carry, I carry two thinking about getting one more to put in my weak side pocket.

If I'm carrying a revolver in the city, it's usually a .38 +P as a back up with no speed loaders. In the woods, I usually carry two speed loaders for my .44 Magnums.

When I carry my model 36, rarely these day, I carry 1. If I can't do it with 10 rounds......
Sometimes I use my Model 64 for a local defensive shoot and a couple of times for IDPA. Then I carry 5.
For me the term "speed loader" is a bit of a misnomer, convenience loader would be a better term.

Harry Callahan always carried 3.
For me - when the revolver is my BUG, none. When it's my main carry gun, 2.
Have a good weekend,
Bob S.

When I carried a revolver as a duty gun, I carried two speedloaders in a HKS Up/Down carrier in front of the holster and a 'Speed Strip' in a drop box, behind the holster. When carrying my 'off duty' in a shoulder holster, the rig was set up for two speed-loaders. When on a belt slide at least one in my coat pocket or on my pants belt, but always an extra.
