SA PX9109L Is this what I really want???
I (want) need a full size 1911 for duty carry when in plain clothes. Just looking to supplement my SW 1911PD commander I love. I looked hard at the Colt XSE, Kimber is out (just cause I like vanilla and not chocolate) and I keep coming back to the loaded SA. I like parkerized carry guns that are treated fairly rough and this comes with night sights installed. I can spend a little more $$$, but I keep coming back to this for under $700 at my cost. That leaves room for more mags, new MSH, and the like. Anybody shoot one or could comment on likes/dislikes?
It's this one if you don't already know.
And no I won't buy a Taurus

I personally like the Kimber Custom II and S&W SW1911 better than the Loaded, but to each his own.

In that price range, the Kimber Custom II guns I have handled have put the Springfield guns to shame. The Kimber was much tighter, smoother and felt like a much higher quality gun than the Springfield's did.

i've had mine for about ten years and absolutely love it. it's reliable, accurate, and has a pretty sweet trigger..... all w/o any kinds of mods.
i love my glocks, too, but the springer is my favorite pistol.

I love the TRP, but the Loaded was never a favorite of mine.

I like the SA loaded. I'm a stainless fan myself but the park'd model is still a good gun. I never cared for Kimber much and it looks like you would have to buy a used one to stay in the same price range with a Custom II.

I'd go with the S&W1911 since you already have one in commander size. Probably the most under rated in the price range you are looking at. The SA Loaded is a solid performer too.

The loaded would make a hell of a duty weapon, but you might be better served with one in stainless. If only for the corrosion resistance.

Look it over with a fine tooth comb. I traded mine for a TRP, much happier now.

Colt XSE Combat Elite, I keep finding myself wandering back to this? It's just dang pretty like a southern woman. BAC keeps me thinking about sticking with SW1911's, they are just rock solid reliability in my experience. Any chance I can get my pretty southern woman to let me buy two??
