large or small pin AR-15 ?

I am looking to purchase a better trigger for my Bushmaster Patrol Carbine. I have seen several drop in types that come in small pin or large pin. My rifle was made in 2006. How do I find out if it is large or small pin?
Also, does anyone have a favorite trigger for the AR-15 that could be recommended? I read about a recall on the McCormicks a while back. Any other brand have problems?

Small Pin. Type of trigger depends upon your intended uses.

Only Colt's rifles have large (.170) pins. All other brands use "small" (.154) pins.

Geiselle makes the very best triggers available for the AR type rifle.
That I could be wrong is an eventuality that has not escaped me. I just painted the pictures as I saw them. I do not know how to do anything else. (Saint Elmer, 1955)

Bill Springfield trigger job. Send your parts in and 50 bucks and get them back in about a week. Feels like a different trigger. I would rate it with the JP triggers
