Being in NY, I have several pre-ban, NMFL magazines that I use in my G26. One of the G19 magazines does not lock in the when pushed into the magwell. I can just pull it out without having to use the magazine release. This is the only one I have that does this. Can anyone tell me what the problem is and how I can fix it. Also, will it work even though it does not lock in. I am reluctant to try it until I get more expert advice. Thanks.

Will they lock in if they are empty?
NO, I wouldn't shoot it if they aren't locked in, the recoil will probably just spit them out...certainly wouldn't trust it in a defensive situation until you figure out if it's the pistol's mag lock-up or a mag problem.

Is it OE or aftermarket?

Does it click (engage the mag release) at all, when empty?

Compare to your other mags-- pay attention to the rectangular insets on the front of the mag. See a difference?

Thanks. Have not had a chance today to empty the mag and test it. Will do so and post the result. It is a OE pre-ban NMFL mag.
