From what Greyson said about the pistol is they are going to call it"MOLON LABE".
Apparently 10-8 sights, mag well and a full coating(bbl but not sure about the internals).
Not impressed.

Hard to see by that dark pic, but it looks like the rear serrations are straight(GI style) and the fronts are angled ???

The typically clean aesthetics of a Brown 1911 seem to have been tossed out the window with this one.

FCS are bling to attract those who don't know any better. Ugly bling.

I don't even own my first 1911 yet (still looking) but I agree wholeheartedly with that statement.
I like the sights and the trigger on the gun above, the mag well - nope.

A great many 1911 aficionados express their hatred for the FCS. Yet even Ed Brown is now putting them on. I don't think you have to be a purist to dislike them.
Furthermore, people manipulate a handgun (chamber check) differently but there is never a need to put your paws out to the end of the slide. I don't care if Todd Jarrett chambers a round that way, you don't clear malfunctions out there, you don't do anything out there to keep your gun running that I am aware of so it is a useless move.
Sorry about the bigtime hijack but FCS are a solution to a problem that should have never existed.
I imagine Ed will sell a few of his new pistol.

Wow. Absolutely revolutionary. I've never seen anything like it.
Why bother?

I have never understood the FCS thing. If one of my kids used them I would read them the riot act right at the range.

I wonder if all the manufacturers use the same "Delta Force Member" as a designer. It seems like every new gun is built to some "Operator's" specs. Whether it's a 1911 or an AR-15 they always talk about the input from "Warriors". In this case it was a waste because he designed the exact same gun that every 1911 builder offers. Most designs(especially 1911's and AR's) have been around long enough that we already know what works and what doesn't. Opinions will vary on certain features like ambi-safeties and FCS, but nothing is really new in 1911's.

The one thing about the Browns is that they are fairly good at marketing their products with names the shooting community is familiar with(Ayoob,Jim Wilson,Jeff Cooper). Now this.I presume the FCS were added as a "bone"for those who use the press check technique at tactical training schools.I haven't checked their websites custom order sheet so I do not know what they charge for the FCS(or if it's a no charge item).
As I said previously, not impressed.I would imagine this will go the route of the Sheriff Jim Wilson piece and have a limited run.
I am sure the EB crowd at the dedicated 1911 websites will love it.
