Cold Bore Customs Glock Hump Removal

I sent my glock 27 to Cold Bore Customs last week after I talked to Lane Owens the owner about removing the rear strap hump on my G-27. I had looked at his work on his website and decided to send him my glock. Mr.Ownes was very polite and respectful with all my questions and concerns.
I asked Mr. Ownes if he could completely remove the back strap hump and he said sure. I received my frame back in 1 week with shipping times, I am extremely HAPPY with the work He performed on my Glock 27. The Gun now has a natural pointing ability and is so much more comfortable in my hand. This is a Man that you can trust and he delivers on the quality. Attached is One picture before hump removal and two pictures after the removal.

Thanks Lane

Looks Good.I removed the finger groove and left the "hump" on mine.I guess I'm the only one but I like the "hump".It fits nicely into the palm of my hand.

That looks nice. Does the back strap removal actually reduce the grip size. Does your hand actually wrap around the grip more? I ask because I'm still struggling with gripping a G20 SF.

Yes it does reduce the grip a small amount. My reductions remove the hump from the back of the pistol, and this does infact reduce the grip size. I just did a full house job on a 21SF. I reduced the grip, removed the finger humps and undercut the trigger guard. The owner may post about it here as he should have recieved it yesterday, or today. The difference isn't as dramatic as it is on the standard frame pistols, but you can tell the difference. TXPO.

Thanks for the post. That's about my only gripe about Glocks, the dreaded hump. It is a problem for me on only the bigger Glocks. I might send him my Glock 20 and 21.

Thanks,

Very nice looking work. I've been thinking about having my G23 grip reduced to hold the G27 mag. I need to check out Mr Owens web site. Thanks for the post.

Does removing the hump change point of aim any bit, I think by removing the hump it may point a tiny bit lower... does it?

To the OP, how do you like the texture? Is it bedliner type material or heat stippled?

To any of You that have had the hump removed... Do You find that it changes the grip angle making the natural point of the pistol less prone to being high..?
