Sounds like another 1911 coming to market
Todd Jarrett Leaving ParaOrdnance
SHOT Show 2010 will be the end of champion USPSA shooter Todd Jarrett’s years as spokesman and sponsored shooter of pistol maker ParaOrdnance.
Todd is planning to start up his own 1911 company building guns to his specifications. Expect to see more about Jarrett and his company in the coming months…

1. Todd Jarrett knows his way around the 1911 platform.
2. The more 1911s on the market the better.
I say sweet news indeed!
Thanks.

I wish Todd Jarret a lot of luck but it is avery crowded marketplace. Lot's of 1911's from the bargain priced Springfields and Taurus to the high end Les Baer etc.

You make a good point,.....but, it Jarrett builds a "competition 1911"
I think he will do very well. If he makes a 1911 similar to the Valor, TRP,
SF,....... he will have troubles.

Even the competition gun space is pretty crowded. Name recognition will get him a seat at the table at least.

Quote: Wikipedia
"Todd Jarrett is a competitive shooter, firearms instructor, and film-maker. He is a National and World Practical Shooting Champion. He currently holds four World titles, nine National titles and has won over 50 Area championships and many other action shooting events. Jarrett is to date the only USPSA Triple Crown Winner and holds four USPSA National titles - Open, Limited, Production and Limited-10.[1]. Jarrett lives in Virginia.
In an interview published by an Australian IPSC shooting magazine, Jarrett stated: "I got started in competition in 1983, shooting bowling pins. In 1984, I started shooting IPSC on Friday nights at an indoor range in Richmond, Virginia with some co-workers."[2] Another published interview mentioned that between 1988 and 2001 he shot about 1.7 million rounds, during practice. “I had a gun in my hand for two hours every day for 10 years to develop my skill level. Now it’s not so much practice anymore, it’s more of a maintenance thing. I wasted the first million rounds just learning how to shoot.”

Praise the Lord. I was getting the feeling there weren't enough over priced 1911s on the market. I am feeling much better after hearing this news.

I wish him the best. He certainly knows his way around competition guns.

oh goodie! Another bling-1911 that does nothing for me. There must be a market for them as he would not be doing it, best of luck to him.

I would say expensive, but not necessarily overpriced.
Hell, I think glocks are more over priced for what you get.

You can add XD's to that list. they used to be cheap when they were HS2000's, then Springfield imported and marketed it as something new.

Yeah, I would agree.
I do like the XDm though. It fits my hand real well and I shoot them pretty good. I'll probably pick one up before too long.
