New Gun Shop and Range in Provo
I just thought I would pass the word. I visited the new gun shop in Provo this afternoon.
Discount Guns and Ammo
765 South 100 East
Provo, Utah 84606
801-373-7376
It is only a few doors down from Center Street Brass. I was really impressed with the store, the guys running it, and the prices. They should have a shooting range up and running in February.

Went in today. Seems like another good store. They had plenty of primers, some powder... I got a feeling I'll be buying a gun there soon enough.

Nice. I've driven past it before, but never had the chance to stop in. Guess I'll need to go soon...

I've noticed a few ads of theirs posted on KSL classifieds. They seem to have good prices! I'll have to check them out, too.

So, it's *near* Center Street Brass, is it owned and operated by the same folks, or just coincidentally in the same neighborhood? Also, is the ammo new, brand name, or reloads like CSB?

Ammo is brand new. They stock a lot of Federal, but also have CCI/Blazer, Remington, etc. They might have some reloads too, but I haven't taken a close look behind the counter at ammo. But what I have seen (and bought), was all factory loaded shells.

Pretty good shop with decent gun prices, The ammo is a tad bit expensive as with most local shops around the US, but they just started dealing bulk ammo. Overall Really good shop especially for LE/Military. I definitely will continue to give them my business on certain items.

i bought my G19 there. it's a good place. the guys have been nice enough. but they haven't impressed me enough to not still go to gunnies for future guns.
gunnies has more guns and better prices. but most of the ammo's expensive at both places. (the best price i've ever found on my .308 ammo is at Discount G&A. $8.50 for a box of 20.)
anybody know where cheap 9mm is? other than walmart...

Well, Powder86, as far a I am concerned, the cheapest 9 mm I know of is on my reloading bench. Same is true for everything else I shoot (except 22 LR); 45 ACP, 9mm Mak, 30-06, 308 Win, .223 Rem, and a few more. And since .380 ACP has been so high $$$, I just finished reloading 500 more this past week

How much for 200 rounds of .380 off your bench?

Apologies if I misled you. I only load for myself and my family to shoot. Sorry if my post confused you.

I wasn't mislead. I was being sarcastic.

reloading isn't practical for myself for a few years... so until then, i'll continue to fire my walmart 9 mm. 18 cents a round.

Well, that's fine and good luck with your shooting. Let's hope ammo prices will come back down to a more practical level for all of us soon. But you might want to keep reloading in mind - if not now, then at some date in the future. Who knows?
