Where to find DW Valor?

I'm looking to get one (I think I like the pre- 2010 model based on the sights. I don't like the new straight eight sights) and I checked bud's guns and they are out of stock. Any other reccommendations online?

Guess I will have to check out the local stores.
Thanks.

Lot of people dumping them after they found out all the internal parts are cast.

Way to keep the WRONG info flowing on the errornet. The internals of Valors are not, and never have been cast parts. The hammer is a cast part, all other internals are tool steel. Fact.

I also prefer the 2009 sights to the 2010 Heinie's. I wonder if you can get the Champions as an option?

Dan Wesson may accomodate your request based on the following:

On September 25, 2008 I contacted CZ-USA and ordered a Dan Wesson Valor in the following configuration:

Valor

Ed Brown bobtail MSH with 25 LPI checkering

Dawson fiber optic front sight

Bo Mar target rear sight

Ed Brown wide ambi safety

Greider slide stop

DW bobtail logo grips

Solid trigger

Nine months later...

Perhaps you could contact Dan Wesson about the Champions as an option, and hear what they have to say.

I know where there is one locally that they've had for a long time. I know they are willing to deal on it. Let me know if you want me to get some more info.

FYI: On my 2009 Valor the ejector is cast and the hammer is cast tool steel. The extractor is barstock, and the disconnect and sear are machine cut tool steel. It appears that EGW components were used here. It all looks like good stuff to me with a lot of evidence of hand fitting.

The other day there was a slightly used Valor on AR-15 for $1300 shipped.

I saw one at the local shop a couple weeks ago, it hardly sat there for a week before somebody snapped it up. They are highly sought after and hard to find. Good luck!!

That´s a damn good question IMO as well. For a few bucks more (or maybe equivalent now with DW´s price hike) you can get a Les Baer.

Yes you can. And after I rip off the Ambi for a single, get a rust inhibiting finish, night sights, and dehorn for carry for the Baer I will have much, much, more in the Baer.

The DW has all those features for under the price of a PII for the 2009 price. And the DW 2010 will be 200 higher roughly than the PII but you still save money in the long run. The 2009 Valors were very nice, but form the specs and pics the 2010 Valors are terrific, but they are out of the price of most bargain hunters.
