Mythbusting Kahr sights
Just busted the myth that Kahr sights are too tight for the average guy to remove and install Big Dots.
I took some blue painters tape and padded the jaws of my shop vise and padded the slide of my Kahr PM9.
With my trusty ball peen hammer and a small punch I gave the front sight a decent tap and it slid right out. Gave the rear a good tap and it too slid straight out.
Took my fine cut bastard file and polished the bottom of the XS sights until they went in 1/3 of the way with finger pressure, gave them a drop of LockTite and punched them in with my hammer and the included polymer punch.
Made sure everything was centered and snugged the rear set screws.
Took me maybe 10 minutes from start to finish.
Fear not the Kahr sight replacement.
