The Drought's almost over - WalMart's got primers again!!
OK - I'm beginning to believe that the ammo drought is almost history. I just bought 500 CCI Small Pistol primers at my local WalMart! They were $3.09/hundred (before Obama-rama I was paying $2.89) but they are at least back in stock!

Dude, if you have primers at Wal Mart, you are incredibly lucky.

Did they check your receipt when you left the store?

Yup - I can buy primers, powder, presses etc. at my local WalMart. It's great to live in the land of the free. Or Utah, as we like to call it.
I only bought 500, because I've still got 1000 or so on my bench, and I wanted to leave some for somebody else. 1500 will last me for a couple of months.

Yeah, my Walmart doesn't even sell relaoding stuff & never has ammo. Good thing I reload & the internet let's me buy my primers for much less than the local gunshop.

My Wal-Mart does not sell either,
but I was always taught that guns and alcohol
don't mix.

I found a Wal-Mart in PA that sells reloading supplies. Bought 1000 small rifle primers while I was there. I was gonna buy some brass too but waited to long.

I have never seen components in a CT Walmart. I have not even seen bricks of 22's in the past 6 months. Only thing on their shelves are shotgun shells and certain rifle calibers.

Here's a cell phone pic from my local WM taken last week. There's scales and trimmers on the top shelf above the bullets and hanging stuff.

Are you sure of that? My WalMart here in the flatland said no WM in CA could carry reloading supplies. ( We were specifically talking about primers.) Do the WMs in Reno carry any? I figured I needed to bypass NV and go to UT!

Now that I think of it, I think we have a Walmart that looks like that. I used to walk right by that shelf thinking it was cleaning supplies.

My local Wal-Mart here in Georgia got rid of their guns and ammo about 4-5 years ago. I would faint if I walked into a Wal-Mart and saw primers and powder and slugs. Only at gun shows or gun shops or on midway's web site.
Georgia has got some of the best CCW laws going right now, though.

Our WM in North GA (super wm) carries a lot of black powder and shotgun supplies (as well as the rifles). Good selection of ammo in limited amounts. Getting better. A few years ago the 22LR was out on the shelves, now it's behind the counter.

No none of the ones in Reno have reloading supplies.
I saw primers at the Susanville WM about 6-8 months ago I think. Their prices were a little more than I pay at gun shows so I didn't buy any.
Susanville is a very rural small town BTW.
