16+ months

I should have my Berryhill and/or SA Custom Shop sooner though, and maybe there's something else up my sleeve...like a nice camera

Waiting for 1911s can be painful.

I know from a great deal of experience.

I found that out on my Professional, and now my cardboard box seems it will take longer than quoted.

I was going to pick Novak at first because, surprisingly, they had a much shorter wait. I do plan to use Novak for my next build, whenever that is.

It will be worth it. I had to wait over two years for my custom and would definitely do it again. I can't wait til you start posting some finished pics(with that new camera).

Dave Erickson of Condition One is one of the best smiths working!
He was just inducted into the BOD of Louderthanwords.us.

I know the feeling and I feel your pain. In November I sent off my NIB Colt 1918 repro to Steve Morrison of MARS Armament for a full on custom build. Busniness has really picked up for him after his THUG 1911 was featured in the Surefire Combat Tactics magazine in 2007 (I think that was the year).

I keep telling myself the wait will be worth it, but that don't make it any easier. As posted by pistolwrench, Dave is an LTW smith and every smith on that forum has tallent beyond words. You will be very happy with the end result.

Yes - U know it. I had an 11 month waitf or my 1st Springer Custom. And now I have a 12 month wait for the one I ordered last month.

Truthfully, after 2-3 months, ya tend to forget about it

My Springer Loaded is off to Geneseo! First 'custom' pistol, or at least sent to factory for upgrade. Basically making it into a TRP with Black T. I miss it though... it's my only 1911. Can't wait for final product!

Sounds sweet, SA's Custom Shop does excellent work. You'll have to post some pics of your "new" TRP.

I'm having a them build me a "wild" 1911. Once I get the fine details worked out it will be 12+ months .

I sent Dave a Kimber slide to be flat-topped and serrated. You'll love his work..

Springfield Custom is a pretty darn good shop. They really are good.
