BVAC Ammo?
Anyone have any experience with BVAC ammo? I've never heard of them until just recently. Is it good stuff? Bad stuff? Mediocre?
http://www.bvac-ammo.com/home.html
Some of their prices are very reasonable, but I don't want go out and buy a case only to find out it's junk. So does anyone know anything about the quality of this ammo?

Ive shot only a few mags of it in 9mm, its decent I will shoot more and let you all know for sure. I wanted to pick up 500rds of .40 the only thing was the guy at the counter couldn't tell me if it was loaded with gold dots or montana gold bullets, but at 150 for 500rds I should just buy it. Its nice having their factory outlets close by.

Oh ya, I know when I went to buy 500rds of .223 fmj they said it was loaded mid sammi spec, comparable to PMC. I haven't opened that box yet so no reviews on .223, only shot 9mm, I like it more than HSM ammo.

I used them for hunting this season. I love the .223 Vmax it really puts down coyotes and hogs. You can't beat the price of $10.43 per box of 20. I am planning on trying out the soft tip version which is priced at $9.69 per box.

Anymore folks tried this ammo yet???
Specically looking for folks using it in
.40S&W in Glocks
& in .223/5.56 in ARs...
This is to be used as plinking and running some drills...
I went to a meet/shoot this weekend where we were running different scenarios and engaging multiple targets (some moving)... Way more fun than just plain static target frames, the only bad part is the ammout of ammo we burn though... I could see easily using 200-300 rounds each time, so I have to find something thats decent and afforadable... Happy Medium of sorts...

Tried a few boxes of it in .45 in my G30. Worked fine, but pretty dirty stuff...

I have used their 38 spl 158gr lswc and it is very dirty! I also tried their 38 spl 158gr fmj and it is GREAT! Some of the cleanest stuff that I have shot. After 50 rounds, looked like a cleaned, never shot gun (S&W 686+), after 100 rounds, just started to get "dirty". But just a little. Highly recommend the 38 fmj stuff.
I also have shot some 45 acp ammo, no problems either and seems to be very clean too. I will order some 40 cal when I need it.

I had 4 duds out of a box of 50 of their 10mm. It was also the weakest 10mm I've shot (BVAC, Blazer, Winchester, Buffalo Bore)

My agency recently transitioned to this ammo for training ammo. I will say that it is cleaner than the HSM that we were previously using. However, we have already had 1 squib round of .45. The deputy who shot it did not realize that the round had squibbed, and did an immediate action drill and fired another round causing a KB in his G21. It might be an isolated incident, but it will make me think twice before doing an immediate action drill in training.

Question is whether BVAC is bonded/insured for product liability and did they take care of the officer/department for the damaged pistol?
LEAs shouldn't be cutting corners when it comes to training ammo. You shouldn't have to be concerned with inferior training ammo and cause you to be concerned with having a kB! while doing your immed. action drills. As you train, so as you react in the real world. Four CHP officers were killed at Newhall with at least one officer found with a pocket full of spent .357Mag cases. Range habits can get you killed.
