short barrel ammo

does anyone see any benifits carrying speer SB ammo in sub compacts.

IMO, it all depends on what caliber we're talking about. Point being, I've seen testing results where the 45acp Speer GD reg loading performed better out of a short barrel than did the GDSB offering. In the other caliber tests though, the GDSB proved it's worth.

The short barrel loads were designed to perform well out of short barrels. Tests have shown they do. Why would they NOT be a good idea?

HST and Ranger Tseries do not need "short barrel" versions in order to work robustly in compact/subcompact pistols. Pick either one of them and you're good to go.
