Crossover (Codeweavers)

Anybody ever use crossover for Macintosh (by Codeweavers)?

This allows running windows applications without installing the Windows OS.

I need to run excel 2003 with macros. They say excel 2003 should reach full-compatibility ("gold" status) in the crossover version coming out in the next 2-3 weeks.

Not for Mac but I have bought and installed over 200 copies for Linux.

It has gotten better over the years and works quite slick now. At least the Linux version, I would recommend without reservation.
Good solid company with good support so I would guess the Mac version would also be fine.
You do have the option to download a 30 day trial version.

While I don't have the experience you have with it, I've used the Linux version quite a bit, and it works very well.

Crossover is an older version of the WINE code tree with paid support. Just use WINE.

I also find it quite amusing that they list World of Warcraft on their compatible games list for Crossover for Mac, when WoW has a Mac client version.

Codeweavers is the maintainer of wine and I think Crossover is a little more stable. I wouldn't say it was older.
Crossover has a very nice GUI and of course has support from Code Weavers. If you are a home hobbyist wine is great but when you just want to get something done Crossover is sweet.
