I was wondering if a mesa 6rnd sidesaddle will need any modification with a stock Remington 870 police fore end? Will the sidesaddle hit the fore end? The reason why I ask someone at my department had this problem, but I cant remember if it was a 6rnd mesa or not. thanks

No modification needed.

If you have a P model 870 then it came with the LE forend and you don't need to modify anything. You can even use the 8 rd Mesa.

I am a Remington dealer and Mesa dealer and have installed hundreds of them on 870's so I am telling you the real deal.

What about the 8 round saddle on a 870 tactical? Model 81400.
