Slip on Recoil Pad
If you don't have one, buy one now (or some variant), plain and simple.
My Maverick HD killed my shoulder the first time out due to a hard rubber butt pad, and a hollow plastic stock. Needless to say, second time out with a limbsaver, I barely felt anything in my shoulder (full powered loads btw).
Any other budget mods to reduce recoil? Other than LE rounds and new stocks...
