Questions about a few desired upgrades...

I just recently purchased a g21sf and am on the fence regarding a few desireable BUT not mandatory upgrades. I would like to get feedback from individuals that have experience w/ both of these items to help me make a more informed decision.

Mod 1: Extended Slide Lock (release)
Do I go with the Glock brand with just the extra triangular nub or the Arotek? Is the Arotek worth twice the price of the glock branded stop?

Mod 2: upgraded guide rod
Do I go SS or tungsten? Is the tungsten worth twice the price of the SS?

Mod 3: upgraded trigger connector and springs
Is a Scherer 3.5 trigger connector paired with glockworx competition spring kit a good idea for a bedside bump in the night gun?

Thank-you for all the input and advice.

Which one do you have? Do you have the Arotek or the Glock branded version?

#1 I would go with the Glock brand.

#2 stay away from tungsten and get the SS. Tungsten is to brittle.

#3 for HD/SD I'm not sure about a full competition trigger. The Scherer 3.5 connector is a very good one. The Ghost Rocket of also very good as well. I would keep the firing pin/striker spring at the stock weight for HD.

Crutter & Ticman thank-you for your replies...
With the glock brand extended slide stop is the little nub that they give you enough of a change to make a significant difference?

Ticman...
Do you know what the stock connector is that comes on the g21sf? Does changing it to a scherer 3.5 effect the overall trigger pull drasticlly or does it just smooth it out?

Thanks again and to any others that have insight on this please feel free to help me out.

The nub makes a huge difference. Try it. If you dont like it you are out 10 bucks. I got mine from glockparts.com Great company to work with. Stay away from glockstore.com they are horrible.

The Ghost Rocket is the best bang for the the buck in my opinion. Pull will be lighter and the overtravel tab makes a world of difference. It does have to be modified but if you check out their website you'll see how easy it is. There are also kits around that have done the modding for you. The factory connector should be the 5.5lb connector.

Yes to the first question. The Scherer will be smooth although a polish job will make any connector smooth. It doesn't do anything drastic but it is easier to pull.
