Loose magazines in Kahr PM9

I just recently purchased a used PM9. Once I got home, I noticed the magazine didn't fit flush and there was about an eight of an inch of play where the magazine could be pulled.

Just to make sure it wasnt the mag I tried it in my MK9 and the fit was perfect. All mags were off in the PM9.

Wanted to see if anyone else had this issue in the PM9 and some possible solutions to make the mags fit tighter. Thanks

My PM9 is not flush and has a small gap, that has not interfere with the functionality of it.

My PM9 does the same thing, though the gap is not quite as large as it is on yours. Most likely has to do with injection molding- plastic shrinks a lot when it cools. Metal is machined to tolerance. Seems like more planning/forethought could have gone into the P series frames before it got to the production phase.

The magazines in your photos don't have the standard factory baseplates installed - it looks like they have the aftermarket Pearce extensions installed instead. Here is what the factory magazines look like:
