Cabelas EAA for $350. What's the skinny?

Hello all. First post in the AK forum.

I'll start off by saying I've got virtually no AK experience. I shot my buddies SAIGA and SKU a couple times, but that's been a while ago.

Cabelas has an EAA (says Rockledge Florida on one side, Serbia on the other side). Thumbhole stock for $350. Has a flat rear site plate on it as well.

My buddy says "The top rail is junk, the dust cover flops around'.

Any experience with these? Is this a decent price? (sale price is $350, stock price is $400). It comes with 2 10rnd mags, will it take normal AK mags or does it take special Saiga mags? What I can expect in terms of reliability out of this? It's not going to be a hunting rifle so I'm not overly concerned about accuracy.

Are there any key points that I'm missing out here?
itís not only about the odds, itís about the stakes.

Link. I have no idea what you're talking about. EAA is European American Armory, the importer of a lot of Russian stuff.

The ones I've seen are single-stack WASR-10s'. NOT normal AK's.
"And Shepherds we shall be. For thee, my Lord for thee. Power hath descended forth from thy hand, that our feet may swiftly carry out thy command. So we shall flow a river forth to thee and teeming with souls shall it ever be. In nomine Patris, et fili, et Spiritus Sancti. Amen."

It sounds like the Serbian Zastava PAP rifle. PAP stands for semiautomatic rifle in Serbian. It's a Yugoslavian AK that takes a plastic single stack 10 round magazine. Other, better steel 10 round magazine can fit it, but not all of them. The barrel bore is not chrome lined. The rear of the receiver is cut at an angle under the thumbhole buttstock. The pistol grip screw threads have been drilled away and replaced with a wood screw. They are nice rifles for the money. They are not easily converted to take double stack military magazines. The pistol grip and standard buttstock can be done but require some work and fitting and maybe some Yugoslavian AK parts.
Despite some media reports, there were no AK-47s involved in the incident
