tapco stock
Just installed a tapco stock. Yeah, yeah, I know people say it is a p.o.s. Anyway, cut off the wood, and chiseled part of the rest to get some slack, then pried the last piece off. Took about 30/45 minutes. Seems to work fine. When it breaks and falls off I will add to the chorus about its quality. Leather sling won't work with it, gonna order a green web.

I think the injection molding has improved a bit, so I think you will be ok, I just think they are ugly as sin.
Unfortunately there is nothing even close in price to compete with it.

I got a romanian wire side folder for $49 2 weeks ago. I looked at the Tapco one and it was around $47 a few weeks ago.

Sorry, but a lot of folks wont find the Romy wire folder all that comfortable, let alone that most will need a US made stock.

What is all this comfort talk? This is an AK. I think you guys are too soft for this gun.
You know what cheek weld means where this gun was made? It means your cheek got frozen to the stock and they had to peel it off with a dull bayonet.
Geez - What molle gear are you guys using to keep you Big Grab bag of Cheatos in? Did you get the oversized trigger guard so you don't ruin your manicure????

Tapco side folder was $39.95 at a gun shop. I know the wire folders are more.

from what i've read they fixed that problem with putting a metal pin in place of the original plastic design.
