I suspect that they are against gun ownership in Iraq also, if they were really pressed for a position.

Teddy once packed a concealed pistol, as president, when he did the commencement address at Harvard. The president of Harvard told him he couldn't carry a concealed gun in Massachussetts. I would love to have seen the "eat sh**" look that Teddy gave him.
