P30 vs P2000 (9mm)

I am deciding this weekend on P30 vs P2000 (9mm). I am torn...like both, but actually like the grip better of the P2000 as it is almost exactly the same as my HK 45c.

I know it's a win-win, but am curious as to what others in a similar situation decided to do.

Thanks in advance,

Both guns are on par with each other in terms of accuracy and reliability.

I think the decision comes down to the difference in grip styles and grip textures. The P30 is no doubt the more ergonomic gun, but the P2000 will be more comfortable when worn IWB next to bare skin.

P30 is just too big for me to carry IWB.
P2000 is more G19 sized and does better. The P30 may be the best 9mm handgun out today, but it's too big to CC if you're as thin as I am.

I would go with the P2000 if it's going to be ccw, P30 if it's just to shoot. I love the feel of the P30, but I think that their grip, while comfortable, is so ugly visualy. I am buying a USP this month, I debated between it and the P2000 for my nightstand, I decided that the feel of the usp is best for me

To summarize, the P2000 holds two less rounds, unless used with a P30 magazine, and is more concealable due to a shorter and smoother grip frame. I prefer the P2000. For more concealability, there is the P2000SK.

Your next question should be V3 or V2?

Can you stick a P30 mag in a P2000?

Update....ended up getting the P2000 (9mm) V3. First time at the range today and couldn't be happier.

I know it was a win-win decision on P30vs P2K, but happy with my choice.

Thanks everyone for your feedback.

Good choice, hard to go wrong with either, comes down to grip really.

Congrats. I love my P2000 for carry. I really want a P30L for IDPA / IPSC now.

Congrats. I never regreted my P2000 purchase as it is a great, reliable gun.
