Did you all stock up on .357sig ammo over the winter??
I have! Maybe Cabin fever has just gotten the best of me. I have socked away enough to get me through the ( hopefully warm, snow free) Spring, Summer and Fall. Most of my buying was with on-line stores and some through the auction sites. Walmart even seemed to have Sig when the shelfs were bare of everything else... Now if winter would just end!!!

I have been buying it at WalMart for a while now. I buy a box or two every time I go. The guy behind the counter said I am the only person buying. It works for me.

I'm envious, but I certainly don't begrudge you that PILE!! Have you ever shot at the SGL 176 range??

I managed to rat-hole 800 rounds of the TX DPS load away, and another 200 or so for function testing.

Just bought 4 boxes of WWB for $50 from a guy who got it by mistake? Aparentely his wife went to get .357 MAG and came home with SIG
I don't ask questions at 12.50 a box!
SCORE!!
Now if only I could find more angry husbands and confused wives.

It's been both at our Wally World and Cabela's at around $25 per box. Sure beats the $32-35 or so last year.

One reason I don't send the wife to buy ammo, not even for a slingshot.
I had stockpiled plenty but, sniff, sniff, it's almost gone.

How's your 229 treating you? I wouldn't mind a 226 in 357, but I've heard SIG's gone downhill of late. I love my mid 90's P220 but wish it were a 357.

Dude! Post some pics please. I got a G35 converted to a 357 Sig with a ported barrel that extends about an inch out the end of the slide. I have crimson trace grips as well as a Nikko-Sterling mini reddot sight. With both of those I found it hard to use the rear serrations so I opted for a cocking knob at the end of the slide in place of the slide cover plate. I tricked out the trigger with a 3.5# let off and put a 20# wolff recoil spring in. I use Arredondo + 5 mag extensions (because so far I have yet to find any 29/31 round .40 mags that will work reliably) and extended the mag release. I don't know how practical it is but it is set up to be very very tactical! It also has that Han Solo blaster look to it, but man does it drive tacks!
Oh yeah as far as the question of ammo goes I always keep 1,000 of various factory target and defense rounds and 1,000 handloads of target and defense loads. in all the pistol calibers I own.

24 a box for wwb at our walmart and you're right. find it when nothing else is on the shelf.
i also bought 3 boxes @10 from a guy that thought it was magnum and scored 10 boxes @15 of ranger from a guy that bought a pile off the net and didn't realize until after it got there paqrt of it was sig and not mag.
i have done the same thing myself when inquiring about private net caches only to find out it was mag BEFORE i bought it. doesn't really matter as i have 2 mag wheelguns so i wouldn't be out anything other than i have plenty of that ammo already
