Adding finger groves to Crimson Trace?

I have a Nightguard 325 (N-frame, 45ACP) that I would like to put Crimson Trace grips on. But Crimson Trace doesn't currently make a round butt grip for N-frames. Most N-frame grips are a little large for me, the factory Nightguard grips just barely fit my hand. Specifically, my little finger is apparently a bit shorter than average, and with most square N-frame grips my little finger can't quite reach far enough around to the front to contribute toward actually helping to hang onto the gun.

I don't think that Crimson Trace has any circuitry in the bottom front of their revolver grips. Although I'm sure it would void the warranty, I'm wondering if it's possible to cut a finger grove in order to improve the fit for my little finger? Has anyone tried cutting finger groves in a laser-grip?
