Check around. Iíve seen them range from $340 to $370. I think I paid around $340 at Dickís it was on sale. Give J.D. a call at the attacked site. He can answer any question you could ever think about on the Remington 870. http://www.aiptactical.com/

Keep an eye on the "gun listings". Their around once people get done accessorizing them and get bored. Used 870s are like used Glocks, they aint been hurt.

I don't where you live. If you happen to live where there is a Bi-mart that would probably be the cheapest.

Yes you can have a set of ghost rings installed after purchase.
You will need a new front sight to go with the ghost ring rear.
A set of ghost rings will probably run at least $100.00.
I have two 870's, a police model with rings and an express with bead.
For HD I like the bead just fine, just point and shoot.
Go to JD's site above www.aiptactical.com and there is some good
reading on the 870 for HD by someone who really knows HD shotguns.
Not trying to talk you out of the rings, just giving you some food
for thought.
I really like the sights on the DEA 870 barrel that was posted
on the forum.

Pawn shop, I can one for 160.00 in Tx. buy a 2 rnd. mag extension for 50.00 and you can cut the barrel to any length you want. Setting it up yourself is half the fun in my opinion.

Michael88 - I spend time on the calguns.net site and the guys talk about the 870 Security model at "Big 5". This is simply what "Big 5" calls the Remington HD model 25077. It is the best value out there for a quality HD and comes with the 18.5" bead sight barrel, Remington LE shot extension, the Speed Feed LE forend and synthetic rear stock. I am certain this is the model you are asking about and from what I read on calguns.net the "Big 5" price is the best in that state.
