10MM barrel in a G21SF

Reading through the forums I see a number of people who have put a Glock Factory 10mm barrel in there G21's and had them run without issues. Same for the G30's with a G29 barrel.

Any issues with doing this if they are the exact same diameter?

Don't do it! Bad Juju is knocking at that door.

Just because the barrel diameter is the same, the barrel length is the same and the barrel lug is the same don't mean this is a good idea!

Think about this: The barrel hood of a G20 is .4270 The barrel hood of the G21 is .4805

The barrel hood is the part that locks up the slide before the gun goes bang.

You just removed .0535 from the equation.

Why would you want any body part anywhere near this? The SAMMI pressure limit for the 10mm auto is set at 37,500 psi. Now you want to take .053 of protection away and call it good?

Did your mother ever ask you: If all your friends jumped off a cliff would you jump too?
