Ok guys I have a problem I want another handgun, I opted to ditch my
1911's in favor of glocks several years ago since they carry so much easier.....

But heres the problem, now I'm going for utmost accuracy within reason...

So ok here goes my favorite glock I own and have fired is my 21SF with pic rail, so useing this as my base model to build upon if I tossed all the bells and whistles into it whats the best I could expect from it?

The build list would include a aftermarket barrel of some sort, maybe a shumann style hybrid or just a storm lake or barsto, an aftermarket slide if it would honestly help and if I did go aftermarket I would go for the long slide "if it can be had without the lightning cutout in the top" otherwise I'd stick to a standard length.... A complete new trigger system like a fulcrum or other and a FLGR in tungsten....
Have I forgotten anything?


I'm a machinist by trade and I have built several 1911's, and if the glock can't do it in the accuracy department I will build one more 1911 something along the lines of a STI or SVI polymer double stack 9x23...


So with all this in hand what could I expect as far as groups at 50yards with the full custom glock? I don't want to hear about "all glocks can out shoot the shooter"

What accuracy are you getting out of it now?

Currently the 21sf does about 70-80% on a silohette at 50 Yards.... At 25 yards 4 inches can be had with lots of patients, but more on the lines of a typical 5 inch group... I always have atleast 2-4 fliers that just shouldnt have got thrown off target that far...

This isn't horrible accuracy for a deffencive handgun but I do want much better results.... If I modify the 21SF for accuracy I'll purchase another 21SF for carry...

probably your biggest obstacle is really the trigger... it's a fine defensive trigger, but it's no 1911.

Defensive: as in tossing it in a holster and packing it around all day knowing that if used it will go "BANG" everytime and also knowing that whom ever might be the unfortunate situation to require its use will feel the effect of every round fired.....
