My Dad had a M39 no-dash.
From 1970 to his death.
I used it for a number of years with no problems.
From there, I owned a ton of Smith autos.
All reliable.
Still have a bunch.
The 39s and 59s finally broke the revolver hold on US law enforcement.
Glock is just a johnny-come-late.
