New remington 870 question

There is a local store that has the remington 870 tactical with the exstension tube and black synthetic stock with 18 inch barrel for $309.00 is this a fair price.

That's a really good price. That same gun is $370 to $400 locally.

Yes, that is the 2010 dealer price from some distributors. So killer price for retail.

I recently purchased a similar gun and found out that there are two versions, one with sling attachments and one without. Mine was without and, of course, the lower price.

Not to hijack, but staying on topic. What about the Remington tactical model with Knoxx stock, model 81400. Local dealer has it for $520. Good?

Now if it is the 870 Tactical with the dark gray finish and the breachers tool tube...stay away from it. Two guys guns, that I shoot and work with, finishes are PEELING RIGHT OFF. Get one in the regular black finish. NOT THE GRAY!!! Here are pics I took of one of them:

I have been considering buying one of these -

http://www.southernohiogun.com/longg...gnum-12ga.html

Police/Riot md 870 magnum shotguns in 12 gauge with 18” barrel, 2 3/4” - 3” chamber, cylinder bore, and wood stock. These are in very good condition as they sat in racks at a prison armory. Marked “Police Magnum” on receiver.

Not bad for $219 +FFL transfer

About $300 is fair. Better deals are out there though. I paid around $225-$250 for mine IIRC.

I just bought the "urban camo" model today for $299. It does have sling swivels.

I thought it was a good deal.

Where are you located?

Checked any of the online sites to see what you could get one for?
