Could happen; best advice I can think of is "don't be in the ghetto" if/when it did.

Frankly I'm tired of worrying about it, and tired of tip-toeing around this or that group's feelings. Not a "ghetto" (ie, black) thing; there's scumbags & parasites in any group or race. Get a job, get off drugs, get off the couch, and get off my back.

Some of us are just getting real tired of carrying the whole weight, and some of us have rifles & backhoes.

If that offends some, well so be it. I've paid too many taxes this week to care about offending people anymore.

No, just tired of being bled dry to feed parasitic citizens, parasitic non-citizens, and parasitic government. I love America, but Americans are a different story. Americans are really taking a belt sander to my nerves lately.

They tax me when I hire somebody, they tax me again if I keep him (licensing renewals), they tax me when I fire him, and they tax me when I pay somebody out of what I have left after paying all those other taxes.

They tax me when I buy a vehicle, they tax me every year if I keep the vehicle, they tax every gallon of gas I put in that vehicle, and then they tax the other guy if I sell the vehicle.

This is just a bad week for me for talking about taxes. As far as the relevance to this thread, my position at this point is simply: "Let the friggin' hand-outs stop now." If some parasite wants to make an issue of it, then fine; that's why god created landfills.

We should all be glad I'm not Atlas, because I'd have not only shrugged the world off by now; I'd be stomping the foo out of it.

When I first read this quickly, I read "After reading my own post, it sounds like I need to kill someone on the front porch with a cigar tonight. Schmucks are just getting to me lately."

I thought wow he is wound up, then I wondered how he will kill them with a cigar? That is probably going to take a long time.

I had a good laugh at myself, and so I thought I would let you guys have a laugh at me too.

Oh, no. You're completely wrong. Read my sigline from tc556guy.....it came from this thread.

Shuddup, pay your taxes and be a good little citizen. You benefit far more than you pay in.

On a side note, I can't find the article but it was NYT and this writer took a $2000 fee for writing a column and followed the taxes all the way through to his children's inheritance. It came out to 90%.

All of us working folk feel the pain... everytime we get what's left of our paycheck, we feel the pain... everytime we see the welfare queen in her brand new SUV with 24" chrome rims and new $500 cell phone with her 7 kids in tow while we are struggling to feed our 1 kid while driving our 10 year old POS daily beater to work... we feel it.

Sad part is, in January its only gonna get worse.....taxes are going up on everyone except those in the 15 % bracket ( they will pay there thru increased cost of goods). We desperately need a change in congress and in the white house ( clarification non socialist, non communist, non anti american, pro taxpayer) Now its so obvious when one stands in the way of liberalism, you are fired, ran over, disbarred etc etc. And to think that liberals are supposed to stand for the little man...it all boils down to slavery and money, we are alll slaves to the liberal establishment and beholden to its wants and needs, bow down and serve or be ready to pay the price. (just kinda preturbed about npr and the juan williams thing)

Fraud still needs to be identified and eliminated from the system in order to minimize expenses.
And yes, I still believe that each of us benefits individually far more than what we each pay into the system.

So until the very people committing the fraud, eliminate the fraud, we just need to pay up?

How bout we just pay dramatically less and they have less to commit fraud with?

Hey tc- we're all STILL eagerly waiting for you to list the conservative principles you personally hold dear.

I think the right tactic is to eliminate the identified fraud. Paying substantially less to those who have legitimately qualified isn't teh way to go.

I'm not going to play the "conservative values" game with you guys, because some of you are so far off the scope that you'd be happy with 90% of the gov't going away. That isn't being conservative, thats anarchy. So if you guys want to play "Rugged Individualist Who Doesn't Need Gov't", play that board game on your own time.

But the good news is that more of us will be paying that lower tax rate!

All this back and forth and you won't list out a simple half dozen principles you agree with. Wow. That's kinda pathetic.

Since you claim to be a member of the conservative party, maybe you could just take from the party platform?

Yeah, it's not a game. We've asked you enough times. Now you are a communist in every sense of the word until you prove us wrong with such complexities as...you're conservative values!

First, I confess up front that I haven't read this entire 46-page thread, and so am operating at a disadvantage and possibly under wrong assumptions.

That said, if it's just a question of "give an example of something (or things) I would define as conservative principles", that seems simple enough and not really some kind of trick or trap.

1 - I believe that each segment of government (federal, state, local, etc) should operate under, and within, the scope and paramaters of their written charters. IE, the U.S. constitution for fedgov, U.S. constitution and state constitution for a given state's govt, etc.

2 - I believe that the U.S. constitution should be read as written, and any changes to it or faults found with it should be addressed as laid out in the constitution itself; thru amendments if and when necessary. (And they can at times be legitimately necessary.)

That wasn't so hard, actually. Is it out of place to ask if you agree with those concepts, TC, or if not, what specifically in them would you disagree with?

Not a trap or setup, just a simple inquiry.

This guy has more excuses than a thug in lock-up! There's no way on God's green Earth he has any intention of answering such a simple question. He can't. He's a communist. So by the very definition of the word he holds no conservative views. Seriously, what other valid reason could there be?? You ask a Christian to tell you a few things they love about Christianity it might take them all of 5 seconds. Ask a Muslim to tell you a little bit about their faith... should take the same amount of time. The only reason why someone would dance around and avoid supporting themselves when confronted with such a simple question pertaining to their values is that they are not who they claim to be and do not hold those values which they claim. This is why we will continue to see the "I'm not going to play into your games" crap until we no longer engage him.

He's too dependent on the nanny state teat. He'd sink if it was taken away from him. Look for him carrying signs and protesting (like the Frenchies) when the conservatives take some of his bread and butter away.(I.E. tax payer funding)
