Southern Exposure Training Schedule to end of 2010

This is the "to year end" schedule for Southern Exposure but I may be adding more classes to take advantage of our new Shoot House that should be on line soon. This will open up more exposure to students to various tactics. It should be a great addition to the training world for civilians as many shoot houses are just for military and police.

All classes are with Randy Cain of Cumberland Tactics unless listed
otherwise. http://www.guntactics.com/

2010 - Year end!

May 12 - 14 HITT Carbine and Handgun with Louis Awerbuck (
http://www.yfainc.com/ ) This class is comprised of a custom-tailored
course utilizing the carbine and handgun and emphasizes tactical problem
solving. For many of you tactical problem solving is where you should
be after the square range. This is an "advanced " class so
prerequisites must be met. Three days $550.00 please see policy on the
YFA website. All sign up is via Southern Exposure. Only two slots available at this time.

May 21 - 23 Kyle Lamb and Vikings Tactics present his 1.5 Handgun class.
If you have had Kyle's carbine 1.5 you will know this promises to be
a great class. Kyle is one of the fast rising stars in the training
world. You will want this class so you are prepared for his "Street
Fighter" and "Night Fighter" class. Prerequisites apply and you will
need to sign up via Southern Exposure. $600.00 for three intense days.
Sold out.

June 7 - 9 Tactical Shotgun $475.00 This is my favorite class
offered. The shotgun is the ultimate home defense weapon in my opinion,
some prefer the AR platform with its 55 grain bullet, some a handgun
with its 230 grain bullet but I really like a one ounce slug. Like Mr.
Cain says those other caliber are made to make holes in people but
shotguns are made to take "chunks" out. I have a few loaded around my
house at all times.

June 11 - 13 Tactical Handgun 101. Once again the most popular class
we offer and the most repeated because it concerns the fundamentals of
shooting and tactics. All students will be better shooter under the
diagnostic ability of Mr. Cain I urge all serious students to repeat
this class twice a year. Three days $475.00.

June 25 - 27 Advanced Defensive Pistol with Mr. Bill Jeans of Morrigan
Consulting. This is an advanced class and is somewhat physical, Bill
has taught it at Southern Exposure numerous times and it is well
received as it covers a different piece of the puzzle that most students
have studied. Prerequisites apply. Three days $500.00. Please book
early as there will be limited slots available. Two slots now open.

August 6 & 7 Steve Tarani - Hand to Hand Survival This is the same
class the Mr. Tarani teaches to some of our elite troops, it is what you
do at the moment of the attack until the opening comes when you can
deploy a weapon. You must survive the initial attack first. Two days
$295.00

August 8 & 9 Steve Tarani - Improvised Weapons w/ baton. You will be
taught how to use weapons that are available everywhere you go but have
probably never thought of these certain items as a weapon. This is also
ideal for a person who travels where he can take no weapons and must
rely on a weapon that he can find. This class is one of the most
popular that we offer at Southern Two days $295.00

Sept 1 - 3 Tactical Handgun 101 Once again the most popular class
we offer and the most repeated because it concerns the fundamentals of
shooting and tactics. All students will be better shooter under the
diagnostic ability of Mr. Cain I urge all serious students to repeat
this class twice a year. Three days $475.00.

Sept 4 - 6 CQT Handgun (prerequisites) This is the "bad
breath" distance class that we all know is what we will really need to
know when TSHTF but we continue to take the marksmanship classes. This
is the class that has the greatest potential to save your life and much
of it is with footwork. All the shooting is at very close range where
true gunfights usually take place. $475.00

Oct. 18 - 20 Handgun 2. This is an advanced handgun class for those who meet the prerequisites (instructor approval). It is fast paced and stress speed plus accuracy, yes it is advanced!. Three days, $475.00

Oct. 22 - 24 Practical Rifle $475.00 Mr. Cain's favorite course and for good a reason as the premise is this will be the last rifle that our
government takes from us after the "black" rifles and "assault weapons".
You will learn how to fight with this weapon and keep up with those
using semi auto plus you will be shooting a major caliber. If your also
a hunter you have that added benefit.

Nov. 13 & 14 Ladies Handgun $375.00 A two day class just for the ladies and many of them will leave the class shooting better than their mates. They will be taught how to safely handle the weapon and shoot it just in case the need arises. The best part is the girls all have a lot of fun. If you have a defensive handgun around the house you need to have your better half attend the class, perhaps an early Christmas present.

Nov. 15 - 17 Tactical Carbine Many experienced shooters consider this
the best carbine class available as it really focuses on the
fundamentals. Mr. Cain requires a high level of accuracy and competence
with the weapon. I recommend this class for all wishing to take the more
"advanced carbine" classes we offer. &475.00 for three days.

Dec. 3 - 5 Tactical Handgun 101 The most popular class
we offer and the most repeated because it concerns the fundamentals of
shooting and tactics. All students will be better shooter under the
diagnostic ability of Mr. Cain I urge all serious students to repeat
this class twice a year. Three days $475.00.

Dec. 6 & 7 Tactical Revolver $375.00 We all own one of more but we
very seldom shoot the revolver. Now is the time to get training and
carry that J-frame with you. They aren't easy to shoot but there are
some tricks you will be taught to improve your shooting. The real
benefit, in my opinion, is that after the revolver class your trigger
control with your semi auto will improve greatly, students remark about
how much better they shoot after this class.

Dec 11 - 13 Pat Rogers Carbine Operators $575.00 Is there anyone
involved with firearms who doesn't know Pat Rogers? Pat, once again is back to close out the year, brings his always sold out three day carbine operators class to Southern Exposure. Our weather is great this time of year and Pat will give you up to the minute knowledge of what works and what doesn't plus his excellent instruction. Prerequisites.
