gen 4 problems

i cleaned my g22, when i put the slide back on i noticed that the recoil spring was sticking out the slide just a little more than normal, about enough to get your thumb nail under it, the slid on this gen 4 was never easy to get on and off ( compaired to say a gen 3) but it has never done this.it is also starting to show wear on the front side of it (slide side) also i keep loosing the plug for the end of the receiver.
does anyone make gen 4 parts? is there a special plug for a gen 4?

The recoil spring is about the only thing that is different on a Gen4 pistol. Everything else is the same. Unfortunately I have not seen any offered in the aftermarket field (yet).
If your plug is falling out try wrapping a piece of electricians tape around it then insert it back into the frame.
